wheel spacers

Default wheel spacers

hey everyone,
i have a 1965 mustang conv. i saw some wheels on a car like mine at (mustangonlyone.com) the car is in the "66" section about 15-16 cars down. the car is dark blue and he says they are off an "05" I found some "08" on craig's, 16" w/p215/65r/16 the bolt pattern is perfect but they hit my leafs and wont go on all the way. i have not even tried the front. help

You know you could just buy these http://www.coyswheel.com/coys-c67.html look the same and no spacers.

thank you for the info, but i am light in the wallet at the moment. can i make these fit they are 16x7

You should be able to use them. Just make sure you get some good quality spacers not the cheapo ones. I don't know what size off hand you will need. I'm sure someone else on here does. I do think those wheels look pretty nice. I like them better than the Coys, although its too bad they are not a direct fit with out spacers.

If you buy quality spacers they go for between $300 - $400 for one set. That plus the price of the used rims you are buying will probably come close to buying rims that Andrew suggested. food for thought

I ran 05 bullitts on my car for awhile. If I remember right the backspace on the 05 is 5.96 inches. Most folks run a 4.5 inch back space which would mean you need to run a 1.5 inch spacer. If I remember correctly I was running a 1.25 spacer and it was really super close to the upper A arm in the front. I also didn't feel like the wheels studs on the car were long enough to safely run the spacers so I replaced them all with longer studs. $2.50 a stud x 20 was another $50 plus the time to replace them. I personally will not run spacers again although I do feel like they are safe.

i bought my spacers from texas mustang....i spent about 200$ for all four of them
