Default '66 200 harmonic balancer diameter

Hey Everyone,

I just finished rebuilding the 200 in my '66. The new harmonic balancer I purchased is larger in diameter than my original. The original being 5 7/8'' and the new one 6 1/16''. I wasn't originally too concerned until my water pump pulley didn't clear the balancer. Every parts store lists the balancer for that car as 6 1/16'' in diameter, so I'm not sure if the parts are listed wrong or if I have the wrong water pump pulley.

Could anyone out there please do me a favor and measure the diameters of their balancer and water pump pulley for me.

Thank you very much,

Scott

Measured the harmonic balancer and water pump pulley on my 200 L6 and the were both the same, 5 7/8 inches not over 6". Have you checked it against one from a 250 L6?

The harmonic balancer on my 65 200 is 5 7/8" as well.

I bought mine from classic inlines, and it was same as stock size.
