Default wiper switch help

I have a 66 with a two speed motor. it is the original motor but I had it rebuilt. It bench tested fine. It operated like it should on the bench. I have rewired the car with a painless harness. I am on my second new switch. Now i didnt do this myself, i had a mechanic do this for me cause i didnt really have the time and wasnt confident in my skill to do it right. He was not able to get the wipers working once the motor was installed. I am thinking that he might not have the wires hooked up right. The switch has like 6 or 7 wires going to it.
Any suggestions on what to do next?

The wipers use a stand-alone harness that's available new. Get one of those, and your problem is fixed.
