Default 69 Fan Shroud Installation problem

I was trying to install a fan shroud on my '69 with a 351W. There is a lot of interference with the fan blades on the bottom and right side of the shroud. In order to center the shroud around the fan, I would have to lower it about 1-1/2" and move it about 1" to the right, which is much more than the adjustment offered by the slotted mounting holes in the shroud. It looks like the engine is way out of alignment compared to the radiator. Any suggestions on how to get this aligned? Do I need new motor mounts? Or are there other things I can do? (perhaps a smaller fan?)
Thanks...

What radiator, fan, waterpump, spacer and shroud are you using? Stock or aftermarket?

I doubt you have that big of a motor mount problem cause there would be alot of other problems starting with just getting the motor to bolt in and obviously off center in the engine bay.

How big is the fan you have?

Measure the center of the crank pulley between the rails. Is the engine centered?

Is the shroud right side up?

Thanks for the responses, sorry for my delayed reply. To answer your questions:
Radiator appears to be a stock replacement, but not sure. I've had the car only about a year and don't have much documentation. Also water pump and spacer appear to be stock. Fan is aftermarket, 18-1/2", 6-blade. Shroud is plastic molded from NPD, for 20" radiator. The shroud fits the radiator perfectly, including all mounting holes, notches and hose cutouts. And yes the shroud is mounted right side up, it's actually not possible to mount it upside down.
Engine seems to be off-center to the right about 3/4", as measured both between the frame rails and also to the center line of the radiator (at the cap).
The opening of the fan shroud is about 18-3/4", so this leaves only about 1/4" total clearance between the fan and shroud, or only 1/8" per side. Is it typical to have such a small clearance between the fan and shroud? I would expect that under fairly normal acceleration or load changes, the engine would shift more than 1/8", causing interference with the shroud. Should I get a slightly smaller diameter fan? Looking in NPD catalog, looks like most fans are 17 or 17.5", although I don't see the one for a '69 351W. Any other thoughts? thanks

I would check the condition of your motor mounts before repositioning the shroud.

I am prone to think you will find your problem here.

Plus, it sounds as if your fan MIGHT be a little too big.

I run a 19" Flex-A-Lite fan, but had to buy a big block shroud. Best thing I ever did...no over heating anymore.

The fan is too large for the shroud. There should be about 1/2" clearance all around.
