well if they use real kandy for base coat and not intensifiers like a lot of places do(saves money) then you wont have any more problems with it fading than any other color....all paint fades 2 coats of good clear and keeping it waxed after it cures will prolong any paints life....

It costs WAY more than that if someone doesn't buy your HOK base for you.... and tools are still extra..... lol

yeah it would have cost me a lot more...it was a spur of the moment thing...i was tired of my plain jane white gt vert so i did the color change paint all the jambs etc...i think im gonna paint it again soon but i dont know what color yet....im gonna strip it to the metal and start from scratch at least that is the plan....

naw im all for doin it yourself, but Im leavin the paintjob to the pro...

this has been such a pain in bootie, but im most likely going with dark highland green..

You can never go wrong with Highland Green. I had it on my 68 and loved it. However, it gets old after awhile, but still a great color all around.
