Yeah I believe the bulb cover in the pic in one of the previous posts is what limits the lighting to the gear you selected (or at least makes it obvious which it is in). You have to make sure everything is lined up before you start screwing everything down. Once the bulb slidy thing (getting technical here) is in its sheath pull down on the cover which has the gears until just park is lit up and you should be good.
