C4 kickdown cable linkage

Default C4 kickdown cable linkage

i had my transmission professionaly rebuilt, they installed a new kickdown linkage and this one slides in an out about 1/4 in. is this normal?

The shaft slides in and out of the trans? Never seen that. They should fix it. Why would they replace the kickdown shaft? I've never seen one worn out.

yeah ill see if I can get a video, and a pic of the old one, maybe im mixing up names of parts....

I can't remember if it used to do this before but now you can push it in and out about 1/4 inch after the threads. it still has the spring tension so it should work correctly.

would transmission fluid leak out around it?

Looks like somebody rolled the trans over onto that one. If the seal was installed, the new one shouldn't leak.
