Default ARP cylinder head bolt question

for a 289 engine, do these work with a 6 point socket or are the bolts designed for a 12 point socket?

They have both I believe .I accidently bought the 12 point ones, I much prefer the 6 point.

They do offer both. I also prefer the hex bolts. 12pt's look snazzy, but I don't always want to worry about having a 12pt around when I need to take things apart.

I have always preferred the 12 point.....

Not that it matters that much on a SBF, but I think the 12 point ones hold the socket better, especially where you have to use an extension. (when the socket doesn't **** on the nut/bolt more accurate torque readings are possible)

Totally agree. Much less chance the socket will slip of the bolt head will be damaged as the 12 point has more holding points. If you have a 12 point bolt head or nut, you need to use a 12 point socket.
