If i buy spark plugs from mustangs unlimited will i still have to set the gap? Or do they come preset?

They come pre-set, but you need to check them before you put them in because they may have gotten bumped and changed the gap during the shipping process. I once had a set shipped, and one of the plugs was completely closed. Gap them between .32 and .34 unless you have installed the Pertronix flamethower coil along with the ignitor ignition module. Then you can gap them to around .45 or more. Big time spark.

you can gap them to .45 or more? I have the pertronix 2 and flamethrower 2 coil.

I think i gapped them to .40 when i installed it, so when i get my timing chain fixxed, ill get ur dun.

By opening them up, the plugs will burn out quicker than at the .32 setting, but the perfomance range is worth it.

I have the Ignitor and Flamethrower coil, and I could NOT gap my plugs that wide. .034 is stock, and my plugs last, and burn good at that gap.
