Thanx for al the answers. I think the best idea is to by a donor car as jojobanks sugested.
I know it is a lot of work and there is a long way to go before I can put the engine inside. (Brakes, steering, suspension etc.) I will try to find the forum with the 67 gettinga a new boss engine.

Anything is possible. Here's my 66, granted the mounts were welded in the stock location for a 302 but they could have been welded in for any motor. Just need a lot of time and some cash. If the motor is most important, decide on the motor then build everything around it so it fits.

There haven't been any recent reports of this happening. It was a tune problem with the tuners turning off the knock sensors, their tunes have been modified to keep them on now.

EDIT: Here is the build thread of the 67, but he hasn't updated it in a couple months.

Although you'll have something completely original

It's pretty much the same as a 4.6 swap and a lot of those have been done. The easiest way is to remove the shock towers and put in a Mustang 2 type front end (Heidts, R&C, TCI, etc.). A few guys have notched the shock towers to get a 4.6 in but it's pretty tight.

If you keep the stock type suspension, you probably will have to fabricate a front-sump oil pan and pickup tube. I believe Canton makes one for the 4.6 but I don't know if it will fit the 5.0. Plan on lots of fabrication and engineering. You will also need a compatible transmission and drive shaft (they have a flange on the transmission so you'll have to have one custom made or cut - I had an 06 GT drive shaft lengthened).

You can find a lot of info on this forum (including 67 with a new Boss 5.0 motor): http://www.modularfords.com/forums/f30/

With the level of effort that you're looking at, you might as well be looking to drop a Chevy engine of some kind in. Don't count on anything fitting up any better just because the 5.0 is a Ford motor, and do count on having to do things to keep the EFI happy.

I'm not at all trying to suggest that you do a Chevy motor instead of the new 5.0 motor. But if you look into some of the projects that did the cross-marque swap, you may find some ideas and solutions that you might not have thought of otherwise. Google "Muttstang" or go over on the Pro-Touring.com forum under Project Updates (it's the $5000 budget Mustang thread) and pay attention to the earlier part of that build.

Just stroke a 351 and call it done...408 seems to be popular.
