65 mustang no low beam headlights

Default 65 mustang no low beam headlights

got a 65 mustang conv.can not get the low beams to work.got high beams.new dimmer switch.got power switching at the dimmer switch but not at headlights.anybody know what could be problem.

go to the main connector in the firewall and check the green/black wire and the red/black wire for voltage(same color wire on both sides of the connector). These are the Hi/low wires although i can't remember which one is which. If you have voltage on both of these wires here, then you have to continue to chase both wires to the driver side headlight.

thanks wires on fire wall good found a broken wire at right headlight.thanks for the help

cool you have it sorted. just to mention: if your right headlight is dimmer than left then check for the ground connection of that one. Very common issue

Once you get it sorted out, I'd add headlight relays. Then they can carry the load instead of the switch. The bulbs will also receive full voltage, so they will be brighter especially if they are halogen instead of the original sealed beam.

Forgot to mention RJM Injection has a nice setup. I'm using it on my car.

Before rewiring the car, we occasionally had a problem with the high beams that was related to the connector at the firewall.
