Default 5 lug conversion for 64-68 mustang

I have a foxbody mustang right now but I'm considering sellling it to get 64-68mustang however I was planning to do a 5 lug conversion on my foxbody.
What I was wondering was if I could use what I have now to convert a 1st gen mustang to 5 lug assuming I get an inline 6 or even a v8 as an upgrade to disc brakes?

The kit I have now is from a 94-98 mustang... spindles, rotors, master cylinder, booster, calipers, etc. Anyone ever done it this way? Would it work or not?
I see kits and parts from mavericks and what not but this way seems really modern and better to me.
I don't mind doing the plumbing on lines and swapping in an 8.8" if it works without tremendous fabrication.
Even the front suspension... use 94-98 control arms, struts, coil over kits, kmember maybe?

Short answer only thing from a fox body that will bolt in a earlier mustang is the engine and trans. The front suspensions are way different and honestly the early mustang is better it has a upper a arm,A fox body uses a strut on spindle which is ok on a street car but to handle most change it over to a upper a arm style. The factory 8 inch vs a 8.8 has been gone over but to me ill take the 8 inch any day its a baby 9 inch and has no c clips so you break a axle you can still limp it home.

If you want a v8 mustang its a lot cheaper to buy one from the start then swapping a inline 6 one over.Plus the true v8 cars are worth more then a inline 6 one.Just watch the craigslist around you sometimes you find some good deals on mustangs.

That's an easy conversion, Ford Racing offers kits for that.

Nothing on your Fox would fit a first generation Mustang without a LOT of modifiaction.

True. VIN code T is at least a 20% resale price hit on a converted Mustang. Besides, trick suspensions, even disc brakes can be added to 64-70 six-cylinder cars as a simple bolt-on conversion.
