LED Instrument Cluster Lights - How bright?
I see two options for me - buy a set of lights for around 20 dollars, or buy a set for 45 dollars. The difference?
The 20 dollar set advertises to be 2x brighter, but the dash rheostat will not work, so there's going to be one set on/off. If it's too bright, I'm screwed.
The 45 dollar set advertises to be 3x-4x brighter, and the dash rheostat will work.
I'm cheap, so I don't want to spend money on creature comforts whenever possible, but has anyone gone with the cheap set and regretted it? My main concern is the rheostat. I don't want to drive and not be able to dim the lights when necessary. I assume that they won't be terribly bright, but how bright will they actually be? Anyone have any advice? Of course, I sound cheap because I'm fretting about a 25 dollar difference, but I don't like spending extra money when I don't have to.
