im looking for an alternative to the $700 price tag on the tcp power steering pump kit. i came across this brand, "KRC" for about 1/2 the price. anyone ever use their products.

im looking at this kit below. comes with the pump, resovior, serpentine pulley and mounting kit for $311

I've used krc before but not on the mustang. Their pump is a little noisy but works well.

I also think their belt pulley was a little thinner than the rest of my pulleys. I still had a rib showing on the rest of my pulleys with the belt installed. Worked fine though.

Are you already using a newer style serpentine belt system? If so it should work fine. It comes with a replacement bracket and everything to mount and align it.

im not sure what you mean by the "newer" serpentine belt system. it is the stock one from a 1993 5.0 motor.
i also want to use this system as well. (see link below) in conjunction with the above steering pump. of course i know the power steering bracket in this kit only fits the stock pump. so ill use the rest of the pieces. do you think ill have any issues with fitment and alignment?

there's no telling with all the different aftermarket pieces, but it's pretty easy to correct fitment issues on things like this with washers and such.

yea that's a little personal jargon that slipped through, sry. Yes I meant the stock 79-93 5.0 serpentine belt system. As opposed to a retro-fitted serpentine belt system on a classic motor.

Like I said before though I didn't install the pump on a mustang. I installed it on a camaro. Though my experience with it was pretty good, I have no idea how it may end up working on the mustang
