Default windshield washer pump ?

So I got one of those new one speed windshield variable wiper switches and a new one speed washer pump. The car had the washer pump before and I know you have to pull it out to make it work. Well the old harness is plugged into the new switch and the wipers work fine. I ordered the new pump though and hooked the wire up that came with it to the one open terminal on the switch. It was a dark green wire. Nothing happens when I try and use the switch to get it to work. I did check with a hot wire if the pump worked and it does. I tried pushing and pulling and nothing happened. What am I missing here? Do I just not have it wired right? If I don't how should it be?

A test light will tell you. I suppose the harness has three wires?

There are actually about 5 or 6 for the wipers themselves, not sure I'll have to look again but one of them might be for the washer, but there is an open terminal on the switch so I figured that's what it was for since the washer pump wasn't hooked up.
