LED tailights don't work when driving??
So I replaced my rear tail lights with LED boards and they work fine. Until you actually start driving. Anyone have any ideas why this might be? They just kind of flash and then go dead. My guess would be they aren't getting enough power, but I'm not sure, and if that's the case, why do they work when the car is not in motion. Did anyone here that's using LED's have to wire anything special in?
So the tail lights dont work when the headlights are on, or is it that the brake lights dont work?
I would suspect a ground, I grounded mine to the rear tail light panel/vertical trunk brace that the fuel filer passes through with a tec screw when I installed, I did not ever try to run them before a dedicated ground was used.

Thanks for responding. The lights all do come on when the headlights come on and the brake lights work when the car is in park and running, it's just when the car is actually driving that they don't seem to work. I do have a ground that comes up from the backup light and I think it's grounded on either side. Curious how you ran a dedicated ground is that the same way yours are grounded? Sounds like they are grounded in the same place at least.
Each of my lights has three wires, tail light, stop/turn, and ground. I chose to ground at the back of the car instead of sending a ground wire back to the dash area. Basically I wired them like a trailer.
