Ford 302 Shakes mildly at idle

I kind of looked over the thread, and I see where the op did do a compression test, but I don't see where he read the plugs. This would be a HUGE help in order to see if the vibration is caused by a misfire, or some other issue.
I also see where a vac gauge was hooked to a vac source, but I was thinking of looking for leaks with some starting fluid, or carb cleaner at the intake to cylinder head gasket area and under the carb etc.
Oh, and don't fear changing the motor mounts, they are a breeze on these cars.

if he has a vac leak it'll show on the vac gauge, but then his gauge is a little out of whack so it might not be a bad idea to just go ahead and spray everything.
Guess the lesson here is to listen to JMD, because he's smart.

My problem is now solved... Running smooth...
My engine builder just left... he replaced all Valve springs on both heads with dual spring ones.... apparantly these are the ones used for higher HP ratings...
Its running good... took it for a test ride...but its raining a bit, so I couldnt really get on the throttle...Spinning tires... Made good mid range power... Took it up to 70... When it stops raining I will give it a better test...
My recommendations, Start with the compression test.. .If that is ok, then I would look into Vacuum Leaks, test vacuum, ( I re-tuned my engine... got 19 at idle), then start looking into spark issues... Dizzy, Wires, Plugs.
Hopefully you find your problem... Roller cam engine should idle smooth.
