Brake light on dash stays on and e-brake ?'s
OK, I did a search and found this thread:
https://mustangforums.com/forum/clas...r-of-dash.html
My issue is the same, but dont now if that switch is replaceable or do I need a whole new valve setup?
Also, I have a 9" rear end and dont have an ebrake hooked up to it. There is no cable from the brake handle. I looked at the rear end and dont see how I can make it work, anyone know how?

The switch is not the problem. Your shuttle valve needs to be re-centered.

That's probably illegal in all 50 states.
There is no cable from the brake handle.
Even the good cable is not expensive. Get the good one.

Everything you need for the brake is available new. The 9" used the same brakes as the 8", so the parts aren't even rare or expensive.

Im not worried about the legality of it, cause its not on the road right now. But that is good to know, I never thought about that.
My rear doesnt have the cables like yours does. It has a hard line going from drum to drum, not even a spot to connect a line to.
What is a shuttle valve!? How do I "recenter" it?

Your distribution block is likely the problem. Not sure if your's identical, but you see the white contact on top:
And like 2+2GT said, you have to re-center the valve inside the dist. block. If you have a leak somewhere, the valve inside the dist.block will close the faulty circuit, and then you should see the light you have.
Or it could be an electrical error somehow?
What rear do you have? At least the cable is supposed to go through the brakeshield just as you can see on the picture.
