Default 1969 fastback

Got a question? I have a 1969 fastback w/ a 351 windsor. I noticed a leak behind the alternator mount to engine. I removed the alternator and its mounting hardware. I noticed a bore on the engine block directly beneath the mounting hardware. It has a hole in it about 1/4" within the engine bore. Is there plug or seal that is suppose to go in this bore before the alternator mount goes back on? Is there something missing or is this a major issue? I'm no mechanic but just need some info to get me in the right direction. Thanks

Hmmm… The alternator attaches to the head. All I see here is three bolt holes and a core plug.

I don't see anything on the block that fits your description.

I think I got it. It's a freeze plug located behind the bracket. I think it's an 1 9/16. Thanks for the pics.
