The hoses are not routed properly and there is a bracket that holds the hoses in place. Look at this link. http://www.cjponyparts.com/SCOTT-DRA...1970/p/HW1155/ There is also an insulator that goes inside this bracket that you will need. I always need a picture showing where the bracket goes because I can never figure it out. Someone on here will have a pic to help you out.

Yes, I have seen that which led me to believe these are the wrong hoses. The only place I can think of to place that bracket is on the apron behind the coil. If I did that I would have too much hose and they would bind, at least I think!

I have my engine out right now so let me see if I can snap a pic for you.
There is a bracket that uses one of the sway bar bolts to mount and then the bushing and clamp bolt to that.

Uh..I'm like 99% sure that braket does not go on the sway bar brace. I should go back by the motor mount and hold the hoses horizontally not vertically. Does anyone else have picture to help this guys out?

Look at this thread. There is a pic in there that shows where the bracket should go. http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/vi...-68-302-a.html

Be nice to know what engine you have. SB and BB had totally different hose setups. Here's the BB setup-

I'll be damned. That's the way it has been, now to move it. Thanks. The guys that put this car together must have been in a rush or drunk.

So what does it bolt to? Hard to see in the pics.
Borrowed this pic. This for a 1966. My 67 has manual steering so I can't help for better or worse.
