Are these the right hoses?
Oh. Missed that.
The 289 2V and 4V had totally different routing than the BB. The hoses and hose bracket were on the top of the motor mount. Early cars had a hose straight from the pump to the bracket, but vibration problems caused Ford to add a big loop to the pressure hose, which came up and out of the pump, tied to itself at the back of the pump, then back to the bracket. The hoses then went straight down from the bracket to the valve. This confuses people who've never seen the correct setup, because the steel lines turn straight up after leaving the valve. Shelbys (and K codes) had hoses similar to the BB, because of the special manifolds. This continued in 68, even though the special manifolds were not used on the Shelby.

I don't know what it is about those stupid brakcets but I always get my butt kicked by them. I get under the car with the correct bracket thinking I know how it goes and I can never figure it out without a picture.
