Default What can I do with this power steering setup???

I have often referred to my 66 as a Franken-stang so why would this be any different. I don't have a 66 power steering bracket on the 302 and now while mocking up the accessories on the rebuilt 302 I now know I have a 67-68 bracket on there.

I have the plugs for the heads coming but the bolt for the PS bracket is 5/16 correct, while the alternator is 3/8 and that threads right into the head because I believe it has an insert already.

I need some help thinking this through. I don't like the way the PS hose is so close to the sending unit. I don't want to spend $160 on a 66 bracket.

ALSO-Am I missing another bracket on the alternator side???

There should be 2 brackets for the alternator setup, but if you ended up like me I couldn't use 1.

Used only the adjuster bracket and ordered a spacer. Then just extended the wires over to that side. I did it so I could custom make a bracket for my a/c so I didn't have to order new lines.

You need the correct 2 groove Water Pump Bracket, Number 1.

Next, there not a thing wrong with the 67 SB Brackets.

Next, the pressure port on rear of pump will not effect the sending unit.

Next, if you ever want to add Air in the future, you are ready to go, that is why the 67 model year went to this configuration--Air ready.

I had a two groove pulley on there and the hub separated from the pulley one day. I was told by Dan at the Mustang Barn when I ordered a replacement that it should be a single and that's what he sent me.

The pressure port does affect the sending unit, in that it is a son of a bitch to work in that space. Kind of petty, but it just doesn't seem right.
