What is 2+2???
"2+2" is what Ford called the 1965 and '66 fastbacks. They wanted something racey and European-sounding. It literally refers to the front seats can seat 2 people and the rear seat can be folded up to seat 2 more. That's it.
It was dropped in 1967 because from then on the folding rear seat became optional. Without the option, the rear seat was in the open position all the time (without being able to fold down flat).
The emblem you saw was only put on the '65 and '66 fastbacks. If a '65 or '66 fastback came with the GT package however, the emblem was dropped in favor of the GT badge and rocker stripe.

Yep indeed, In Europe "2+2" kinda means its a 2 seater, but if you really want you can make it a four seater by folding down some extra (very small) backseats. But still the word "backseat" is kinda over rated
