disc brake help

Default disc brake help

i ordered a disc brake kit fromm ss brakes...great kit, but i did not order the power disc brakes. what do you guys think? should i send them back in exchange for the power disc brakes?

I forgot what year Mustang you have eZ. If it's a 64-66 you won't need the booster, but from 67-73 they are a big help because more weight was added to the body, engines, etc.

what is the curb weight of the 64.5? you dont think ill need a booster with around 350 horse?

IMO you dont need the booster. Actually doing the same conversion myself

Manual disks up front are just fine for my 69...much better than drums, so give em a try.

ill keep the manual brakes i already have...i looked up the curb weight of a 65 mustang...2556 lbs.

Hi eZ,

If you don't like the feel, you can always change the bore size. And if you still don't like it, you can add a booster anytime.

Are you planning to do any open track or Auto-x events?

scott...i doubt it...i may do some of that with my 2000 gt

the 64 is for cruisin and for the 1/4 mile...i got bout 350 horse and ill be adding nos!

It's going to haul more *** than a rickshaw with Jenifer Lopez in it!!!

You're going to run some drag radials right? Even if you only do a 100 shot, it's going to take some serious traction to hold that much power back.

That is going to be real exciting. Make sure you use good hog rings on the bottom seat cushion so you don't suck the cover up your "you-know-what" when you light the fuse on that puppy.

yeah im going to run some dr's your damn straight!!!

need to buy some 15' rims for the rear though but i got the hook ups for tires out here
