Default P/S Pump Bracket problems

Information:
302 with New World Windsor Jr heads (cast)

I am running into a problem using my old alternator and P/S brackets with the windsor heads. It appears that the hole spacing and in one case the diameter is different. I have the alternator installed after switching out the bolt diameter and changing the spacers aroudn some, but the P/S pump is giving me some difficulty. The OE bracket just does not line up with the mounting holes, I might be able to get one or two to line up, but not all of them.

Has anyone else used windsor heads and run into this problem and/or what did you do to resolve it?

Thanks!

You may have to modify the bracket either by simply drilling some new holes, or by figuring out a way to add a piece to meet your new mounting bosses.

The problem you have with the 7/16 mounting boss and the 3/8" bolt can possibly be overcome by simply drilling the bracket to accept a 7/16" bolt.

Thanks JMD. I wound up taking a 5/8" bolt (hole in head) and having it drilled out at a machine shop to fit a 3/8" bolt through the middle of it. LOL, the machine shop is enjoying my rebuild as I have had to modify several parts already.
