Tips for installing a 66 bolt on hood scoop?

Ended going back from edge 3" just so I could get the holes in front in the center opening of support bracing underneath. Did not want to have nuts angling underneath or to have to hole saw and opening. Scoop is pretty long in the first place.

Very stressful drilling holes in new hood :-)

We mounted ours 1 1/2 inches from the back edge. Centered the scoop on the hood and marked where the bolts touch. Be sure to use a smaller drill for a pilot hole. Drill the holes slightly larger than needed to get a little wiggle room for finally alignment as you tighten it into place.

How about cutting a hole in the hood above the air cleaner. Should there be a hole? if so size and location?
