Default Carb and intake swap

Folks,

Back to the forum after a long time a way........ I am building up a parts list before I change my intake and carb on my 289 as getiing parts can be a pain in the netherlands. I am changing my 2v stock 2100 to 4100 with a wieand steath intake so far I have:

Intake
Intake gasket set.
Carb (autolite 4100)
Intake bolts
Thermostat housing and gasket
RTV Blue
heater hose elbow
temperature sensor

on order is a holley universal carb install kit

Is there any thing else I need before I start the swap other than mechanical talent...

Cheers

Paddy

Hi,
You will need a choke cable assembly. Most all of the big box mustang suppliers carry a retro looking cable. I ran a 1405 Edelbrock for a number of years on my early 65 and used an early Shelby cable.
But, I'm thinking any of your local auto supply stores will carry a generic cable. There's not much to them.
Happy Motoring!

Are the gas pedal linkages the same for both carbs? And do you run any vacume hoses off of your current carb?

I thought the 4100 had auto choke with tube from the manifold?

I am thinking the gas pedal linkages are the same, famous last words...I will double check. As for vacuum from the carb is to the distributer, spacer has PCV vacuum and manifold has vacuum to transmission.
