It will not see the strip. I will only see the street but will hit 6k frequently

Stick with the 170's and you'll be happy. Just make sure you get valve springs that will work with your cam.

its not that i dont want a custom cam i just dont know that much about it and would hate to screw something up

If you leave it in the hands of a good cam grinder, like Ed Curtis, Jay Allen, or Clay Smith Cams, you'll be happy with the end result.

LOL..custom cam doesnt mean you design the cam. email ed curtis at flowtech induction. he has a cam card that you fill out all the spec on your car and he designs the cam for you. a comp xe cam runs $290 and a custom cam from ed runs $329. its a no brainer
