Default 66 Stang Shock tower caps install

Ok, I'm having a bit of a difficult time getting the shock tower caps reinstalled.
I updated the entire front suspension with new components. Now I am ready to install the shocks, export brace and tower caps.
However, there is not enough room to install the nuts on the bolts for the caps. The bolts pass through the cap, through the brace and through the shock tower sheet metal. Then they hit the rubber/plastic coil spring seat. What am I doing wrong here????
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks

These are special bolts that have a flat head. are you trying to use regular bolts? they won't fit.

The bolts come up from the bottom and the nuts go on top of the cap, sounds like your trying to install the bolt down?

Jamesw & RC65.......
Thanks for the info. I do have the special bolts as you showed, but I was trying to put them going down from the top. I guess thats what I get for letting it sit too long during the upgrade. My memory starts to fail.
I knew this was the place to come for the answers. Thanks!
