Boss were only made in 71.

I would say get the money. If he writes you a personal check, tell him he can have the car when the check clears, not until, tell him a cashiers check would do just fine. There is not a mustang produced in 72 that is worth 50k.

 

I wouldn't even pay that for a 71 Boss in perfect condition. And, I seriously doubt that a 72 Mustang sitting in grandma's garage covered up would be worth more than 20K tops, no matter what model it is. Grab the moolah and run with it. There is a fool born every day, and this guy sounds like he is one. But, like has been said. Make sure it is hard cash, and that all the legal paperwork has been signed and notorized before he gets the keys.
