Default 66 dash wiring

I want to take out my dash but unlike the 67 that had one plug, I have to ulplug all gauges individually!? How have any of you rectified this? Do you just label each wire? Is there a way to make a quick disconnect for the dash wiring?

Pix appreciated

Thanks

strange... my 67 I had to do each individually.. and I know it was from the factory like that when I did mine.
and I used a color coded wiring diagram.

if you look close there is really only a few different wires. the majority of them are the lights for the wires. I can remember what color they are but there all the same. Then you have the ground wires. Other than that there is only a few wires. just lable them with a sharpy

67/68 gauge harness is separate from the main harness. On the left side there is a plug, then you can fully remove the unit.

you want to take your dash out?? have fun drilling out tons of spot welds...the dash isnt a bolt in part in a 65-66

as for the wires yes label each wire individually

Don't be so literal damn it. Haha
My mistake, not the dash itself. Just the gauge area.

If you go to mrmustangparts.com and click on tech tips at the top you will see a diagrammed illustrated photo of the 66 underdash harness that shows where the connectors hook up at.
