Default 67 Coupe Neutral Safety Switch

I could use some help with a true wiring diagram for the 6 wires comming off my C-4 neutral safety switch. I purchased the wiring manual fro C J Pony and it was / is not clear enough. I've used the on line fee wiring diagrams but again, not good enough. I know the 6 wires out of the switch go into the square 4 wire plug comming out of the fire wall above the throttle linkage. Pictures if possible would be greatly appreciated if a wiring diagram is not available.

The online versions should be more than good enough for you. There should only be 4 wires to the NSS / BU light switch -and it does have dual plugs. On the car side - the red blue wire comes out of the ign terminal marked S and goes to the firewall plug the other red blue wires goes to the stater relay. Take your hot light and probe the wireson the car side to isolate which set of wires is which- the one that is always hot with the ign sw in run will be the BU feed and the one that only goes hot when the ign switch is placed to start is the NSS side.

As far as figuring out the the NSS- only one set of wires in the same plug will have continuity in park and neutral and the other plug in just reverse.

If your switch has 6 wires it's the wrong switch.

I appreciate the reply about the 6 wire unit being incorrect, you know, when you buy a 67 Stang delivered to the house on a flat bed with a trunk fully of parts in cardboard boxes for $750 who know what you get! I'll pull the part number offf and run that on the WWW to see what it fits but I took it off the trans my self but the wires were cut. Maybe the trans cane out of an earlier ford because I believe the date code and the way the dip stick tube fits into the tranny it was a late model 64 C-4.
