289 engine color

Default 289 engine color

very simple question and i used to know the answer for it. i am going to be fixing up an engine for sale that came out of a 66 mustang and do i use ford light blue or ford dark blue?

I believe dark is what you want, someone say otherwise if I'm wrong...

I have always used the For Dark Blue engine paint that you can by at autozone/advanced auto. If your doing something concourse, then get your paint from CJs or one of the mustang parts retailers

Ford Corporate Blue is the correct color. No other "Ford Blue" is even close.

Check into it, because I think the color did change slightly for the different model years starting in 66
