I have been waiting for a certificate of deposit to mature in order to have enough funds. I have been dying to get it done though. I have to admit though, I have been spending an enormous amount of time on the lemons car I mentioned earlier. I am now unofficially a certified e30 mechanic lol

I am currently in the process of an fmx to t5 swap also. I just ordered a bunch of parts from http://www.rosehillperformanceparts.com/ and am collecting others. Here is my list.

T5 parts and mods required

 Trans ($300 w/clutch, pressure plate and extra core)
 Bell housing ($100 w/ fork and block plate)
 Block plate
 Fork (for external slave)
• Hydraulic Actuation
o Internal slave costs more - $604 kit with master and line at http://www.moderndriveline.com/catal..._sb_T5_kit.htm
o Master cylinder, $70 http://dazed.home.bresnan.net/test#3
 Locate to allow power brake booster
 Requires offset push rod
o External slave
 Requires (fork) bracket to bell housing, $206 kit http://dazed.home.bresnan.net/test#3

 Make sure your bell housing looks like the one above with the clutch fork in line with the transmission tab that the bracket attaches to. Some newer setups have the clutch fork in a different location and will not work with this kit.
o Steel braided line kit, $41 http://dazed.home.bresnan.net/test#3 $317 for complete kit with offset push rod from dazed or rosehill http://www.rosehillperformanceparts.com

Other Parts
 Flywheel ($118 from kmj/ebay)
• Bolts
 Clutch
 Pressure plate
 Bolts
o throw-out bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool
• Shift lever
• Shift boot
• Shift handle
 Shifter
• Cross member, $150 (rosehill/dazed)
• Trans mount
 Speedo cable, clip and gear (assuming fmx parts will work)
o Recondition cable for no binding
• Slip Yoke, 28 spline
• Hardware mounting kit, $20 (rosehill/dazed)
o Bell to block
o Trans to bell
o Etc., mixed sae and metric
• Reverse switch pigtail
• Clutch pedal, need to fitcheck
• 3 quarts fluid
• U-joints
• Pedal pads (use as pattern to trim brake pedal)
• Drive shaft mod/shorten? Need to fit check
• Trans tunnel trim around shifter? Need to fit check
• Check pinion angle to prevent vibes

69mach: what are you using for shifter boot(s)? Lower boot will be used or not? I am still uncertain what I want to do with the boots. Boots.

I haven't got that far yet, but I'm thinking of Hurst for boot, lever and handle (not a ****) as seen on summitracing.
Of course the formatting of my list didn't paste very well.

I have a B&M ripper shifter and boot, Billet engraved shift handle from a memeber on stangnet and white shift ball from Amazon. The shift handle cost WAYYYYY less then anything else on the market and 17 bucks for a shift ball.

Can you send me the info on the shift lever too please?
Or just post publicly, if not against rules.
