I havent noticed it. Its the only part on the car that failed the magnet test. All the rust is gone. I sanded it to bare metal and it has been down to bare metal for a month. The rust hasnt come back. I got a piece to repair my dash but then i got a qoute of $250. Im gonna call a welder soon.

Do glass packs have a loud idle? It was pretty quiet driving 60 down teh highway. If i give a nice rev it is pretty loud. I might just need some headers. and also do i need a new pipe or can they just cut the pipes? Will it be cheaper if i bolt the headers down to the heads and have them hook up the pipes. How much could i look forward to spending.

i have dual magnaflows (glasspacks) with an H-pipe and flow-tech headers...

it's not really loud at idle, but it's a pretty deep and low sounding rumble (esp. for a smallblock)

on heavy acceleration it screams and sounds pretty badass

flowmasters sound good...but i bought magnaflows because i was sold on the "straight-through" design for performance AND it sounds awesome

You guys know what mufflers I like......RAVINS......nice low rumble at idle, and it talks to you at speed, but not enough so you have to stop the car to carry on a conversation.
Tyler, after you get the headers on, take the car to a muffler shop for them to hook it up. I forgot how much I paid, but not as much as I had previously thought. Maybe a hundred bucks or so.
