Ok Guys I have a few cougars and mustangs, My question is I found a super solid 68 cougar xr7 but it has no cut outs in the front fenders where the lights would be.. all vins match for a 68, but im worried about it.. It was built in early jan of 68 and ive heard some early cougars and stangs just had a stick on reflector on the front and rear??/ Not sure what to think.. It even has the 68 steering column

 

Early production '68s had stick on reflectors, but I would have thought that by January, 1968, the wired lighted reflectors would have come into production.

Maybe the fenders have been swapped out for ones from a 67.
