Because you can get a factory KH-style setup for $600 that doesn't require changing spindles and doesn't mess with the steering geometry (Granada spindles have different steering arm geometry that can cause bump steer issues). It also makes getting replacement parts much easier; you simply walk into your nearest parts store and ask for parts for your year car, instead of trying to remember what year Granada you pulled which part off of.

Interesting comments...especially since I'm just about to install a CSRP front disc kit on my '65. I had to go with the CSRP "Granada"version of the kit, since my original spindles were ruined by a PO who welded...yes, WELDED...a set of Oldsmobile calipers to them in a "Frankenstein"conversion using rotors off the rear of a 1996 Mustang and Olds calipers!! The car stops...but not very quick.

anyone know of any significant bumpsteer issues with the CSRP kits?

I'm with fastbackford351, I've got Granada discs on mine and they work flawlessly. The car handles exactly like it did with the factory drums. Don't know where this fabled bump steer myth comes from.

I have to agree.

If one jumps through many hoops, can put up with all the parts to change (Know which pieces to Fit), have a OLD School guy that will take the time to Align the car, And you Pay the exttra cost to do these thinks yes they will work fine.

A Dodge truck spindles will work fine on a early Mustang, if you have mechanical skills.

You can use an old mailbox for a hood scoop too, and it will work flawlessly.

Sorry, but spindles are just not that hard to find to justify building a cobbeled up mess.

Which mailbox would you recommend for my cobbled up mess?
