Im planning on installing a Tach in a few weeks. Does anybody have any opinions on a certain brand, and size. I dont want one too big, im planning on installing it on my steering column.

Summit has a 3-3/8" tach that is only a couple of inches deep. Has a red LED shift light built in.
I picked one up, but haven't installed it yet. So far the only down side I can see is that it's going to take an act of congress to remove the bezel and lens to I can paint over the Summit name.

Seems well built and easy to use, and reasonably priced. It also fits well on the column w/o covering up other gauges.

If I'm ever elected to congress, I'll write a bill that gives tax breaks to classic car restorers for preserving history and glorifying good American products.

Oh yeah, and Scott's tachometer lens thing.
