to reply to your message, while all others say no to mess with the 1/4 panels, thats a huge mistake in itself. when i began work on my 67 gta coupe, the whole car didnt have one bit of rust on the floors, torque boxes, front or rear, but i did however have some very small rust on the quarter panels near the wheelwell. take into consideration of this, rust is like cancer to metal, just like cancer to a person, when you go to remove it, you wouldnt want to leave some bits and pieces here and there would you?im not saying what yuo need to do to your car, im saying if you want i done right , get rid of the rust, i would definetly start with the shock towers where the export brace is, next the battery apron, torque boxes, and even national parts depot sells full floor pans now, complete for like 500 bucks. but do keep in mind though, that if that car was wrecked in its life, especially in the rear end, it will effect how well the 1/4 panels will fit. the fitting and spot welding isnt the hard part of replacing the panels its the heat from the welder that u need to watch when welding the panels, if they get to hot, itll warp them and youll be able to tell come time for paint

Looks like you needed a rotisserie Kari. Didn't you screw up the passenger side by turning the car that way?

Somebody screwed up those rear fenders before me. There were seven layers of bondo and other very strainge cuts, I have new rear fenders waiting for istallation so no harm done.
