Question ?? about window adjustment and watershield adhesive

I'm nearing completion on my '66!

I've got the windows installed and they work pretty well, but I'm having a fit adjusting them. Does anyone have any procedures I can follow to get this done?

Also, what is the stuff called that adheres the watershield to the inner door? And where do you get it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

fitting the windows is honestly trial and error...as for the black stuff its bedding and glazing compound 3m makes it most Napa's around here stock the stuff if they sell paint stuff

They say to measure where the wing is before you ever took it apart. I assume you didnt. But id definitely start there get a proper gap between the a pillar and the vent window then adjust the regulator etc

what i have done in the past is adjust from inside the car, leave the adjustment bolts loose, close the door, roll the window up and then tighten and check the fit.

What ended up working for me was to roll the window down and adjust the vent wing first, then loosen the side window adjustment bolts, roll it up and retighten the bolts.
