Default Fell for the Shiny Chrome Thermostat Housing

I recently ordered a new CHROME thermostat housing for my 289 ford. Turned out the bolts wernt the right size they were metric. It was also bendable because it was chrome. It leaked everywhere all over my MSD edelbrock and radiator not to mention the floor. Does anyone know the correct size bolts for a 289 edelbrock performers waterneck/thermostat housing or a nice water-neck/thermostat housing that had been tried and true that will come with the right size bolts.
I need to be again so answer quick as possible please! Thanks

5.0 intakes use metric bolts, iirc.

If I recall, the bolts are 3/8" course thread, but I could be wrong (might be 7/16" course as well). I use the ones that came with my ARP kit...

Oh, it was chrome? Yeah, those are terrible. I have a cast aluminum one as well and it's been fine.

I've never had a chrome waterneck that didn't leak. Not a chevy or ford. I now use an o-ring billet alum on the racecar to get the angle I need. I use a painted/polished waterneck on my street cars.

ive had a chrome one for at least 10 years. Its the one that uses a o-ring, not the flat gasket and hasnt leaked, but they dont last, they corrode from the inside out.
