Default 65 Mustang Start issue.

My 65 mustang has been running great but recently switched carburetors and inline fuel filter. The inline fuel filter is now filling up, yet it doesn't seem like anything is leaving it and it is brand new. I am wondering if its clogged because car isn't starting unless I bottle feed it gas. I know I can figure it out tommorow on my own just wondering if anyone has suggestions.

There are arrows that tell you which way the filter should be set in the fuel line, the arrows should point toward the motor, or there should be an inlet and outlet side of the filter. If you have it flipped this may be the problem.
