He found one but wants $50 for it. I would be willing to go $20 for a $1 part used. $50 if it was NOS..

Still no luck on it..

lol, you do not get it. Read my posts again. It is NOT a $1.00 part. You will not find one for less if you ever find one at all. If you want it, pay the $50.00 and be happy or live without out one and when his is gone you are likely sol.

You will be lucky if he sells it to you at all now after I told you how much it might be and you made him look for it and you did not buy it once he found it. He doesn't need the money and he doesn't like to waste his time.

Having been working on cars since 1970. I know what most parts actually cost. I was saying that selling a part that at the most when it was new cost $1 for $98 is taking advantage of a person that needs it. The person I talked to about the part was quite helpful and polite. And said that he didn't have one but new a person that did and he would have to sell it for $50. He is thinking of doing a repop of it as he has run into this situation before.
I really don't like it when people like the OTHER person I found that was selling a rusted one for almost a hundred dollars. That is not the way to help out a mustang owner that is trying to fix his vehicle.
If it was a NOS part I can see it costing more for any part on a vehicle. Much like the parts that I have put on mine.

So try and be a little more polite in any responses to people that have questions or comments. I use to have a very large car club and forums and didn't allow this from any of them. Times have changed and my interest changed. So I no longer have them.

This is one of the strangest things I have ever heard in my life since you think a mint one should cost only $20.00. That's the same as saying someone is taking advantage of you if they want $300,000.00 for a mint 65 Shelby when they were only $4,000.00 when they were new. Maybe you have a mint 68 conv you are asking $30,000.00 for and I tell you that it only cost $3500.00 when it was new so you should sell it to me for $15,000.00 because that's what I want to pay and think it should cost because I have been doing this since the 70's etc..

You found a rusty one for $100.00 and you say a mint one for $50.00 is still too much and he should sell it to you for just $20.00 and then you bad mouth the guy because he won't give it to you for what you want to pay.

Parts cost what they cost. I told you it might not be cheap in advance so you were forewarned. I was nice enough to connect you to one of the few people in the world that has that part or knows where to get it. I took time out of my day to help someone I do not know when no one else here had an answer for you and they still don't. I did NOT have to do that.

I actually know where he is getting it from but all you are doing is complaining about the price for an ultra rare one of a kind part instead of being appreciative of the fact that I told you where you could get it and that he can get it for you.

You are also either assuming that these people got these parts for free or cheap ir you simply don;t care what they might have paid as long as they sell it to you for what YOU think it is worth. You have no idea how they came about them but if one of them paid $30.00 or $50.00 for it themselves, you are still bad mouthing them because they will not take a loss on it for you to help you out and sell it for the $20.00 you offered.

This makes no sense. You need one, you found a RUSTY one for $100.00 and did not buy it. I found you one and the seller wants $50.00 for a nice non rusty one and you will only pay $20.00.

You will not get anymore help from me.
