Default Tilt wheel in a 65

Hello

I have a 65 Fastback and while enjoying it for the summer, I'm gathering parts for a full Resto. I'm 6'3" tall and currently the standard wheel is not to big of a problem as its an Automatic. I'm planning to convert it over to a T5 and don't see myself being able to push the clutch in without hitting the steering wheel. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with any of the tilt steering columns? I'd like it to look as close to factory as possible.

Thanks

As far as I know there was not a factory tilt option for the 65. I put the tilt-column from Flaming River in my 67 and it works nicely.

If you need more leg room how about seat track extenders?

To my limited knowledge there wasn't a tilt option in 65. I should've put "does anyone have any experience with the aftermarket columns?" I guess. Haven't thought about extenders. I'd be afraid I wouldn't be able to have arm out the window???. Does the Flaming River bolt to factory location and box? I've briefly looked at one in a catalog. Thank you

Just took it up to breakfast and I don't think extenders will work as my head is already at roof line and would only get worse with the sloop. Any opinions on which column???

Don't think I could lower the seat any, I can't even get hand under it as it is...

Barnett468 you have a preference on flaming river or I did it?
