Default Engin number

I've searched a lot of post and Google'd many forums (car, truck etc.) for the answer to this but have not found the answer.
The 6 cyl. engine in our 67 was replaced with a post '87 302 engine. We know this because of the casting. 28 E7TE CA e='80's 7 = '87 T= truck and E = engine. Also the dip stick was in the wrong place and the timing cover was not drilled for the proper dip stick.
However there is another number stamped on the block
E8143016 as shown in the second picture. This is so straight I would guess it is a factory stamp.
Some suggest this is a partial of the VIN of the vehicle that the engine came out of. However, it doesn't seem to be a part of any Ford Vin. Maybe '88 with the serial number but the number is too long for a serial number.
Some suggest this is the assembly date code. Then what are all the other numbers?
The engine is modified with an Edlebrock manifold and a 600 cfm Holley.
Anyone have a clew what this number is?
