Default no juice

I have a 64.5 mustang 289 4v that I recently switched from a generator to an alternator and put in a new battery. It was running great until Sunday when I was going to take it for a spin and I had no power. Nothing would come on, no lights, radio, nothing. I have checked the wires running to the solenoid and the old voltage regulator that I have bypassed and can't find anything. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

start with the basics, battery and alternator tests, its possible that you got a defective unit of either

When you switched to the alternator, what did you do about the external generators regulator? Was the alternator a one wire type or was it from a later mustang which needs it's own regulator. Does your car have an ammeter or just a charge light?

I switched to a 1 wire alternator with a internal voltage regulator and bypassed the old voltage regulator

The problem was a bad battery clamp on the negative terminal
