67 power steering hose nightmare
Hey guys everything is done with my build exempt for this damn power steering hose that has haunted me for the past three weeks. I used a march performance serpentine system for my car, so I used a newer style 85-90 ish mustang power steering pump. So obviously the the factory correct hose doesn't have the right end on it for the pump side. (Needs a 16mm 1.5 Teflon fitting). And a 1/4 inverted flare on the control valve. Has anyone else ran into this issue? I have tried making my own hose from Russell powerflex hose and a conglomeration of fittings to get to the right size. But there isn't enough room between the connection on the rack and the pinion arm, to where anything but a factory bent hose won't get molested when at full crank

my buddy has a similar issue on a 55 f100 that has a 302 in it with a mustang 2 front end. he got a factory hose and had the fitting on one end changed at shop which makes custom hoses. Im not sure if you have many there but sometimes shops that specialize in automotive A/C also make custom hoses.
Im pretty sure he had the fitting for the pump side changed.

Yeah I went to my local bobcat dealer cause they make hoses and of course i got the guy who didn't want to help someone out. Going to try taking the both hoses to a colliflower dealer about 30 miles away and see what they can do for me
