Default VIN code issue

Hello, I have a 1967 Mustang convertible. The number on the door plate checks out except for the body code. It has no numbers. Just the letter A. Everything i have read on the net says there should be 2 numbers in front of it. THX.

VINs don't use the letter O.
Are you sure that's right (?)

I AM LOOKING AT THE TITLE:

1FALP47V0TF173915

Do not know if it is a zero or an alpha "O"

It's a Zero.
I'm assuming it's "special" cause its a Cobra

He said it was 1 of only 1000 built. Does the VIN number tell me which number it was in the 1000 off the lot. Special ordered Cobra SVT.

I don't think so. the last #'s are just the vehicle #. You would have to try a Marti Report or something. But i don't think you can learn which #/1000 it is.

Thats too long.
That won't work.
Has to be 17 characters.

The VIN you entered, 1FALP47V0TTF17391, is invalid. However, it is very close to the one(s) listed below.

  1. 1FALP47V9TTF17391 1996 FORD/MUSTANG COBRA/4.6L V8 FI DOHC 32V
  2. 1FALP47V0TFF17391 1996 FORD/MUSTANG COBRA/4.6L V8 FI DOHC 32V

They are (sort of) easy to learn.
1=USA
F=Ford
