Mustang 70' engine serial number
Hello there!
Let me introduce myself. I live in Warsaw, Poland and I'm a fresh and lucky owner of 1970 Ford Mustang, vin code 0R01F132752. Here's below the pic of my new car.
I've got a question about the engine serial number, does it exist in this car or not? This causes me problems with registering.
Besides, I'm looking for a detailed technical specs on this particular model (dimensions, ground clearance, weight, max speed, acceleration, engine specs, transmission specs etc, etc). Can you help me in finding those? I'll need them to apply for the tests allowing the car to the common traffic.
Any help will be welcome, you understand that getting any info from here is a bit difficult.

Here is some invaluable information and specifications for your 1970 Mustang.

You can also use this decoder to decode your VIN. http://www.mustangdecoder.com/decoder.html
You can see by this, that you have a 1970 Mustang built in San Jose, California and it is a 2 dr. Harttop with a 302 2v V8 engine. This is all an assumption that everything is original.
The engine block number is behind your starter.

You can also obtain the body, trim, color, date, axle, etc. if you input that information into the decoder. You will find that information on the data plate on your driver's side door.
Thanks again. The problem is that the plate was taken off from the door, attached in the engine compartment and then painted all black. The driver's door was replaced and there is a vin plate from another car attached to it.
I'll try to make a photo o the plate to show it here, maybe you could help me to decipher what's possible.

The VIN plate from a donor car won't help you. Look at the VIN number on the inner wheel well under the hood. Most likely, you can't get the correct factory numbers since it is obvious your car has been torn apart and other parts added. Just live with the fact that you have a 70 Mustang, and go from there.
Ok, I've made a pic of the plate which I found under the engine bay. As I said earlier, it was attached to the front of the bay wih a screw.
The top numbers are clear: VIN, colour, trim, body style. But the rest is not clear to me. I wonder if it's a warranty plate comming from the driver's door or something else, it looks strange to me. I know from some book that buck tags weren't placed in the cars coming from San Jose. Can anybody say something more about it?
