In my 68 mustang i'm running a 347 stroker that does about 375 horsepower at 5600 rpm. It's matched to a toploader 4 speed and for a rear end I've got the little 8 inch with an open diff and 3:50 gears. I haven't actually ran the car that hard before but i think it could do something like a 12 or a 13 in the 1/4 mile. I'm just curious whether or not anyone else has some similar setups and what they are running. also would like to know how you guys would go about running a bit faster times.

if you want to keep driving it on the street at least get a trac-loc diff for it. The harder you spin it the more it locks up and its more friendly than a locker on the street. The 8" rear will hold the power you're making as long as you're not running the RPM up and then dumping the clutch with sticky tires. On street tires it will be fine. After that, work on your shifting and have fun.
